Our Mission

The American Story Project is primarily devoted to original works of theater that interrogate American history. Each project involves in-depth research and uses a combination of transcripts, reportage, biographies, interviews, rumors and our own literary and creative sensibilities. The product is a completely unique theatrical world that strives for historical accuracy as well as the insight and immediacy that only a live theatrical production can achieve.
